Description:
* WHAT...Periods of moderate to heavy snow. Additional snow
accumulations between 6 and 12 inches with up to 16 inches at the
highest elevations. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.
* WHERE...Big Belt, Bridger and Castle Mountains, Elkhorn and
Boulder Mountains, Helena Valley, and Meagher County Valleys.
* WHEN...Until 6 PM MDT Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult and tire chains may be
required for some vehicles. Those in the backcountry should ensure
they are prepared for dangerous conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the Friday morning and evening commutes.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The best window for moderate to heavy
snowfall will be late tonight into Saturday.
Instruction:
If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency. The latest road conditions can
