Description:
* WHAT...Total snow accumulations between 7 and 14 inches near Chief
Joseph Pass and 4 to 7 inches near Big Hole Pass. Snow
accumulations between 1 and 5 inches elsewhere. Winds gusting over
60 mph at times on Thursday.
* WHERE...Northwest Beaverhead County.
* WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to noon MDT Friday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult and tire chains may be
required for some vehicles. Those in the backcountry should ensure
they are prepared for dangerous conditions. Very strong winds
could cause extensive tree damage.
Instruction:
If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency. The latest road conditions can
be obtained by calling 5 1 1 or visiting the MDT Road Report website.
