Description:
* WHAT...Heavy snow and widespread blowing snow expected. Total snow
accumulations between 5 and 10 inches. Localized totals up to a
foot possible near the South Dakota border. Winds gusting as high
as 45 mph.
* WHERE...In Minnesota, Wilkin County. In North Dakota, Ransom,
Richland, and Sargent Counties.
* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Heavy snow amounts, near blizzard conditions, and
significant drifting will make travel dangerous and potentially
impossible.
Instruction:
Persons should consider delaying travel. If travel is absolutely
necessary, drive with extreme caution. Consider taking a winter
storm kit along with you. Items in a winter storm kit should include
water, a first aid kit, booster cables, flashlight, shovel,
blankets, extra clothing, and anything else that would help you
survive in case you become stranded.
