...A WINTER STORM WARNING IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM HST MONDAY FOR THE BIG ISLAND SUMMIMTS ABOVE 12000 FEET... .A kona low is expected to bring heavy snow and strong winds to the summits tonight. * WHAT...Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations up to 3 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. * WHERE...Big Island Summits. * WHEN...Until 6 AM HST Monday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Blowing snow will significantly reduce visibility at times, with periods of zero visibility.
