Description:
At 950 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from 6 miles north of Glenville
to 7 miles east of Sutton. Movement was east at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Weston, Glenville, Sutton, Gassaway, Jackson Mill, Stonewall Jackson,
Holly River State Park, Rock Cave, Cedar Creek State Park,
Burnsville, Flatwoods, Sand Fork, Auburn, Eden, Pickens, Cleveland,
Little Birch, Newberne, Alum Bridge, and Hacker Valley.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 79 between mile markers 52 and 102.
Route 19 between mile markers 66 and 68.
Route 33 between mile markers 1 and 4.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
