Description:
At 625 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Burbank, or 7 miles southeast of Pasco, moving northwest at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Kennewick, Pasco, West Pasco, Island View, Finley, and Burbank.
This includes the following highways...
Highway 12 between mile markers 292 and 302.
Highway 395 between mile markers 15 and 26.
Interstate 182 between mile markers 9 and 14.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight PDT for
south central and southeastern Washington.
