Description:
At 602 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 9 miles southwest of Raven to 8 miles southwest
of Cleveland Va. Movement was east at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Lebanon, Glade Spring, Lindell, Emory-Meadowview, Hansonville,
Rosedale, and Castlewood.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
