Description:
At 359 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Gum Spring, or near Hadensville, moving east at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and heavy rain.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Reduced visibility and minor flooding
possible.

Ashland, Hadensville, Randolph Macon College, Tuckahoe, Gum Spring,
Oilville, Glen Allen, Montpelier, Laurel, Wyndham, Lakeside, Orchid,
Vontay, Gum Tree, Johnsons Springs, Elmont, Gilman, Othma, Dumbarton,
and Sandy Hook.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for
central and north central Virginia.
