Description:
At 724 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles south of Big Stone Gap, or 14 miles northwest of Gate City,
moving north at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Big Stone Gap, Appalachia, Duffield, Clinchport, Jasper, and Pardee.
