* Until 815 PM EDT.
* At 525 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 1.5 inches of rain have
fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 0.75 to 1.5 inches in 30
minutes. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2.5 inches are
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

State University, Prince George, Ettrick, Matoaca, Jordans Point,
Garysville, Petersburg National Battlefield, New Bohemia, Richard
Bland College, Birchett Estate, Jordan Point Country Club, Addison
and Petersburg Airport.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
