At 558 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7 miles east of Apple Valley, or 9 miles north of Colorado City, moving north at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Zion National Park, Apple Valley, Hildale, Virgin, Orderville, Springdale, Rockville, Coral Pink Sand Dunes, and Mt Carmel. This includes US Route 89 between mile markers 78 and 85.
