Description: 
At 242 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Peter, or 7 miles east of Tremonton, moving northeast at 55 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Logan, Tremonton, Cache, Smithfield, Lewiston, Clarkston, Trenton, Benson, Peter, Riverside, North Logan, Hyde Park, Richmond, Garland, Honeyville, Mendon, Elwood, Newton, Amalga, and Fielding. This includes the following highways... Interstate 15 between mile markers 374 and 385. Interstate 84 between mile markers 41 and 42.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
