Description:
At 920 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located over southeastern Oklahoma City, or near Tinker Air Force
Base, moving east at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Tornado.
SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.
Locations impacted include...
Southern Oklahoma City, Moore, Midwest City, Del City, Valley Brook,
Stanley Draper Lake, Tinker Air Force Base, and Smith Village.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 35 between mile markers 123 and 126.
Interstate 40 between mile markers 154 and 162.
Interstate 240 between mile markers 5 and 13.
Instruction:
TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a storm shelter, safe room, or an interior
room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you
are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest
substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.
