At 1217 AM EDT, a severe squall line capable of producing both tornadoes and extensive straight line wind damage was located along a line extending from 7 miles southwest of Taylorsville to near Bardstown to 9 miles west of Lebanon, moving northeast at 65 mph. HAZARD...Tornado. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. These tornadic storms will remain over mainly rural areas of northeastern Nelson, northwestern Marion and southwestern Washington Counties, including the following locations... Loretto, Saint Francis, Dant, East Bardstown, Bloomfield, Booker, Nerinx, Maud, Botland, and Croakes.
