Description:
At 955 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Sea World, or 12 miles west of San Antonio, moving east at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
San Antonio, New Braunfels, Schertz, Cibolo, Converse, Universal
City, Live Oak, Selma, Castroville, Stinson Municipal Airport, San
Antonio Int Airport, Randolph AFB, Canyon Lake, Leon Valley, Helotes,
Fair Oaks Ranch, Kirby, Alamo Heights, Windcrest, and Terrell Hills.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
