Description:
At 513 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Gainesville to near Haslet.
Movement was east at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 45 to 55 mph and pea to half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Carrollton, Frisco, Denton, Lewisville, Flower Mound, Coppell, The
Colony, Southlake, Corinth, Gainesville, Highland Village, Trophy
Club, Lake Dallas, Sanger, Whitesboro, Lake Lewisville, Little Elm,
Prosper, Celina, and Roanoke.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 35 between mile markers 468 and 502.
Interstate 35W between mile markers 68 and 85.
Interstate 35E between mile markers 446 and 466.
Instruction:
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
