Description:
At 946 PM CDT, a line of strong thunderstorms was located from near
Reese Center to 6 miles east of Locketville. Movement was east at 15
mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Lubbock, Wolfforth, Shallowater, Lubbock International Airport,
Texas Tech University, Slide, Downtown Lubbock, Woodrow, Reese
Center, New Deal, Smyer, and Ropesville.
Instruction:
If outdoors, seek shelter inside a building. Heavy rain may lead to
flash flooding.
