Description: 
At 612 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 8 miles northeast of Campbellton to near Karon to near River Creek Acres. Movement was east at 45 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Beeville, George West, Goliad, Three Rivers, Fannin, Mineral, Schroeder, Ander, Berclair, Weesatche, Weser, Coleto Creek Park, Nell, Tulsita, Karon, Normanna, Oakville, Pettus, Pawnee, and Ray Point. This includes the following highways... Interstate 37 between mile markers 55 and 83. US Highway 281 between mile markers 618 and 634. US Highway 181 between mile markers 572 and 588. US Highway 183 between mile markers 626 and 646. US Highway 59 between mile markers 654 and 690, and between mile markers 712 and 730.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 AM CDT for south central Texas.
