At 213 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Fairchilds to near Bay City to near Port Oconnor. Movement was southeast at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Pearland, League City, southern Sugar Land, southern Missouri City, Galveston Island West End, Texas City, Matagorda, Friendswood, eastern Rosenberg, Lake Jackson, Alvin, Angleton, Dickinson, Bay City, La Marque, Santa Fe, Freeport, southwestern Seabrook, Richmond, and Clute.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 500 AM CDT for south central and southeastern Texas.
