Description: 
At 127 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Tivoli to near Holiday Beach to near Copano Village. Movement was east at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Port Lavaca, Rockport, Seadrift, Port Oconnor, McFaddin, Lamar, Aransas Pass, Bayside, Quintana, Alamo Beach, Palm Harbor, Indianola, Key Allegro, Magnolia Beach, Long Mott, Copano Village, Green Lake, Holiday Beach, Matagorda Island State Park, and Tivoli. This includes the following highways... US Highway 77 between mile markers 594 and 606. US Highway 87 between mile markers 834 and 840.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 600 AM CDT for south central and south Texas.
