Description:
At 1111 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from near Three Rivers to near
Simmons to near Seven Sisters. Movement was east at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Beeville, Mathis, George West, Three Rivers, Choke Canyon, Skidmore,
Orange Grove, Lake City, Midway, River Creek Acres, Tynan, Calliham,
Sandia, Annarose, Argenta, Karon, Rancho De La Parita, Mount Lucas,
Normanna, and Pawnee.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 37 between mile markers 31 and 83.
US Highway 281 between mile markers 618 and 662.
US Highway 181 between mile markers 572 and 606.
US Highway 59 between mile markers 684 and 756.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 600 AM CDT for
south central Texas.
