Description: 
At 522 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Blanket to near Spring Creek to near Loyal Valley to near Us-83 Near The Kerr- Kimble County Line. Movement was east at 55 mph. HAZARD...Nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Brownwood, San Saba, Early, Junction, Mason, Richland Springs, Algerita, Cherokee, Bangs, Blanket, Castell, Lake Brownwood Near Thrifty, Loyal Valley, Sloan, Zephyr, Streeter, Brookesmith, Hilda, Lake Brownwood State Park, and Lake Brownwood. This includes Interstate 10 between Mile Markers 455 and 477.
Instruction: 
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for west central Texas.
