Description: 
At 119 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 6 miles northwest of The Intersection Of Highway 158 And Ranch Road 2059 to near Grape Creek to Tankersley to 9 miles south of The Intersection Of Ranch Road 2083 And Highway 405. Movement was northeast at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... San Angelo, Ballinger, Winters, Eldorado, Robert Lee, Sterling City, Mertzon, Blackwell, Christoval, Ozona, Maverick, Nolan, Bronte, Miles, E.V. Spence Reservoir Near Paint Creek Recreation Area, Hatchel, Sanco, Knickerbocker, O.C. Fisher Reservoir, and Rowena. This includes Interstate 10 between Mile Markers 341 and 394.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
