At 222 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Venus, or near Alvarado, moving southwest at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of east central Johnson and west central Ellis Counties, including the following locations... Griffith. This includes Interstate 35W near mile marker 22.
