At 822 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Morales-Sanchez, or 8 miles east of Zapata, moving northeast at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Lopeno, Bustamante, Escobas, Randado, and Morales-Sanchez. This includes US Highway 83 between mile markers 772 and 784.
