Description:
At 429 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Thicket to near Smith Point. Movement was
east at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Anahuac, Ames, Daisetta, Hardin, Devers, High Island, Stowell,
Winnie, Bolivar Peninsula, Hankamer, Wallisville, and Oak Island.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 500 AM CDT for
southeastern Texas.
