Description: 
At 258 PM CDT, emergency management reported strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Coupland to near Rollingwood. Movement was southeast at 5 mph. HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Emergency management. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Austin, Pflugerville, Taylor, Elgin, Austin Bergstrom Int Airport, Manor, West Lake Hills, Rollingwood, Coupland, Barton Creek, Hornsby Bend, Webberville, Rices Crossing, Garfield, Beyarsville, Del Valle, Camp Mabry, McKinney Falls State Park, and Lost Creek.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Conditions are favorable for the development of weak, brief funnel clouds. Theis type of funnel cloud is harmless, but on rare occasions they can briefly touch down, producing wind gusts over 50 mph. If a funnel cloud is spotted move indoors and report your sighting to the National Weather Service. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
