At 1115 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Wallis, or 9 miles southeast of Sealy, moving east at 50 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Sugar Land, northern Missouri City, northwestern Rosenberg, Stafford, Bellaire, West University Place, Katy, Richmond, Jersey Village, Sealy, Brookshire, Hunters Creek Village, Bunker Hill Village, Piney Point Village, Downtown Houston, Greenway / Upper Kirby Area, Spring Branch North, Second Ward, Greater Greenspoint, and Greater Heights.
