Southern Smith County in northeastern Texas... * Until 530 PM CDT. * At 431 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 17 miles northwest of Reese, or 22 miles southwest of Tyler, moving east at 40 mph. Golfball size hail fell on the south side of Athens at 410 PM from this storm. Another strong thunderstorm was indicated over Brownsboro, also moving east at 40 mph. HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. * Locations impacted include... Tyler, Whitehouse, Bullard, Troup, Arp, Mixon, Mount Selman, Noonday, New Chapel Hill, Concord and Teaselville.
