Description:
At 521 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 6 miles southwest of
Thalia, moving northeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Golf ball size hail and 70 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Trained weather spotters. At 519 PM CDT, ping pong ball
size hail was reported 7 miles southeast of Crowell.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to
mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
Locations impacted include...
Crowell, Thalia, Lockett, and Rayland.
Instruction:
A tornado watch remains in effect for the warned area. Tornadoes can
develop quickly from severe thunderstorms.
