...The National Weather Service in Austin/San Antonio TX has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Texas... South Fork San Gabriel River At Georgetown affecting Williamson County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...South Fork San Gabriel River at Georgetown. * WHEN...From early this morning to late this afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 9.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding reaches low areas of the floodplain and overtops pedestrian bridges of the San Gabriel Park in Georgetown. Residents of lowest homes in the floodplain above Georgetown to Granger Lake should monitor NOAA Weather Radio for developing heavy rain and flood conditions. At 13.0 feet, Moderate lowland flooding inundates secondary roads and low water crossings from above Georgetown to Lake Granger. Flow enters the lowest areas of San Gabriel Park in Georgetown, and Blue Hole Park Road and restrooms have flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 11:45 PM CDT Friday the stage was 9.4 feet. - Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 11:45 PM CDT Friday was 9.4 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 11.8 feet early this morning.
