Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Southern Hidalgo County in deep south Texas...
* WHEN...Until 1130 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1027 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain
have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 0.8 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.

Mission, Pharr, Weslaco, San Juan, Alamo, Donna, Mercedes,
Hidalgo, Progreso, Palmview, Penitas, South McAllen, Sharyland,
Carman Elementary School, Mayfield Park, P S J A High School,
Tierra Del Sol Golf Course, San Juan Middle School, Austin Middle
School and San Juan Public Library.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
