* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Central and Southeastern Kaufman County, generally for areas along and south and east of US 175. * WHEN...Until 1100 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. River or stream flows are elevated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will likely cause urban and small stream flooding. Low lying and/or poor drainage areas will experience minor flooding in the advisory area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Ennis, Seagoville, Kaufman, Mabank, Crandall, Combine, Seven Points, Kemp, Grays Prairie, Cottonwood, Cedar Creek Reservoir, Scurry, Oak Grove, Rosser, Lively, Peeltown, Stubbs, Becker and Tolosa. - The area Oak Grove, Scurry, and Warsaw areas received heavy rain last night, with additional heavy rainfall approaching the area. The additional rain will lead to flooding faster than usual.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become unstable and unsafe.
