At 713 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing moderate rain across the warned area. Up to 0.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Slaton, Ransom Canyon, Buffalo Springs and New Home.

Be alert for water over roads and in poor drainage areas. Outer lanes of streets typically flood first. Slow down and avoid driving through flooding.
