The National Weather Service in San Angelo has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Northeastern Taylor County in west central Texas...
* Until 1215 AM CDT.
* At 1041 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
very heavy rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing
or expected to begin shortly. Rainfall of 1.5 to 3 inches in a
short period of time is expected to cause flash flooding in the
Abilene area.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
producing flash flooding.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Abilene, Tye, Tuscola, Buffalo Gap, Caps, Potosi, Dyess Afb,

Parkway, Curry Lane from Clack Street to Catclaw Drive, Texas Avenue

Catclaw Creek, FM 3308 crossing Draw, 2000 block of Oak Street,
Antilley Rd. crossing Button Willow Creek and North 6th Street and
Willis.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious of the dangers of
flooding and flash flooding at night.
