Description: 
At 726 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Cedar Park, Georgetown, Leander, Liberty Hill, Florence, Andice, Mahomet, Briggs, Sun City and Seward Junction. At 718 PM radar estimated rainfall may have exceeded 5 inches near the Burnet and Williamson county line at the North Fork of the San Gabriel River. About the same time, a social media report from north of Liberty Hill indicated the North Fork of the San Gabriel River to be near bankfull. Portions of the North Fork of the San Gabriel River will probably go out of banks and areas upstream from Georgetown Lake.
Instruction: 
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become unstable and unsafe.
