* Flash Flood Warning for...
Mitchell County in western Texas...
Scurry County in western Texas...
* Until 500 PM CDT.
* At 200 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain
has fallen within the past hour and additional heavy showers and
thunderstorms are continuing to move over the warned area. Flash
flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

Snyder, Colorado City, Loraine, Colorado City Airport, Lake
Colorado City, Lake Colorado City State Park, Champion Creek
Reservoir, Inadale, J B Thomas Reservoir, Fluvanna, Westbrook,
Buford, Dunn, Cuthbert, Ira, Winston Field, Hermleigh, Knapp and
Randalls Corner.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
