Description: 
At 1032 PM CDT, emergency management reported flooding near Loop 121 at I-14 and Sparta Rd between Chisholm Trail Park to Mystic Mountain Rd. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Flooding on Nolan Creek may also occur with this heavy rainfall. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Emergency management reported. IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Temple, Harker Heights, Belton, Nolanville, Morgan's Point Resort, Troy, Belton Lake, Stillhouse Hollow Lake, White Hall, Woodland, Moffat, Pendleton, Owl Creek, Meadow Grove and Oscar.
Instruction: 
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
