Northeastern Hockley County in northwestern Texas... * Until 545 PM CDT. * At 513 PM CDT, a wall of dust was approaching Lubbock International Airport, moving east at 30 mph. Dense blowing dust also extends westward behind the initial dust wall into northeastern Hockley County. HAZARD...Near zero visibility with damaging wind in excess of 70 mph. SOURCE...Doppler radar and webcams. IMPACT...Dangerous life-threatening travel. Locations impacted include... Lubbock, Abernathy, Shallowater, Idalou, Anton, Lubbock International Airport, Reese Center, and New Deal. This also includes US-84 northwest of Lubbock and I-27 north of Lubbock.
