The National Weather Service in Lubbock Texas has issued a

Western Lubbock County in northwestern Texas...
Eastern Hockley County in northwestern Texas...
* Until 515 PM CDT.
* At 449 PM CDT, a wall of dust was 5 miles northwest of
Shallowater, or 14 miles southwest of Abernathy, moving southeast
at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Near zero visibility with damaging wind in excess of 70
mph.
SOURCE...Doppler radar and webcams.
IMPACT...Dangerous life-threatening travel.
Locations impacted include...
Lubbock, Abernathy, Wolfforth, Shallowater, Reese Center, New Deal,
and Smyer. This also includes US-82 northwest of Lubbock and
US-62/82 southwest of Lubbock.
Instruction:
Dust storms lead to dangerous driving conditions with visibility
reduced to near zero. If driving, avoid dust storms if possible. If
caught in one, pull off the road, turn off your lights and keep your
foot off the brake.
There is no safe place on a highway when a dust storm hits.
Visibility can be lost immediately, making it difficult or impossible
to slow down and avoid stopped vehicles. Delay travel, or safely exit
the highway before the dust storm arrives.
