* WHAT...There will be a moderate to high risk of strong rip
currents. Elevated tides are expected during times of high tide.
* WHERE...Gulf-facing beaches, including the Matagorda
Peninsula, Brazoria County beaches, Galveston Island and the
Bolivar Peninsula.
* WHEN...Through Monday morning.
* IMPACTS...Rip currents can sweep even
the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The Rip Current Statement and Coastal
Flood Advisory has been combined into this Beach Hazards
Statement.
Instruction:
Remain out of the water to avoid hazardous swimming conditions.
