At 354 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8 miles west of Sparta, moving northeast at 45 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Cookeville, Sparta, Algood, Baxter, Doyle, Hamptons Crossroads, Bakers Crossroads, Burgess Falls State Park, Rickman, and Cummins Falls State Park. This includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 279 and 297.
