Description:
At 351 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7
miles south of Smithville, moving east at 60 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
McMinnville, Crossville, Sparta, Smithville, Spencer, Pleasant Hill,
Doyle, Centertown, Hamptons Crossroads, Slate Springs, Bakers
Crossroads, Virgin Falls State Natural Area, Burgess Falls State
Park, Rock Island State Park, Lake Tansi, Fall Creek Falls State
Park, and Indian Rock Lake.
This includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 273 and 274, and
between mile markers 309 and 323.
