Description: 
At 749 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Mineralwells, or 7 miles southeast of Parkersburg, moving east at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Parkersburg, Harrisville, Mineralwells, North Bend State Park, Ellenboro, Cairo, Nutter Farm, Walker, Maxwell, Petroleum, Schultz, Pike, Freeport, Davisville, Greencastle, and Highland. This includes the following highways... Interstate 77 in West Virginia between mile markers 171 and 175. Route 50 in West Virginia between mile markers 12 and 38.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for northwestern West Virginia.
