Description: 
At 701 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8 miles south of West Union, or 11 miles east of Harrisville, moving east at 35 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Salem, New Milton, Avon, Grove, Leopold, and Blandville. This includes Route 50 in West Virginia between mile markers 65 and 71.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for northern, north central and northwestern West Virginia.
