At 534 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Phoenix to near Honey Island to Makatoka to near Longwood. Movement was northeast at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Leland, Shallotte, Iredell, Northwest, Bishop, Makatoka, Freeland, Supply, Exum, Bughill, Longwood, Brunswick County Community College Main Campus, Ash, Phoenix, Winnabow, Grissettown, Honey Island, Batarora, Mill Creek, and Town Creek.
