Description:
At 116 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 9 miles north of Nashville to near Zebulon to
near Clayton. Movement was east at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Rocky Mount, Tarboro, Nashville, Wilson, Clayton, Scotland Neck, Elm
City, Dortches, Bailey, and Red Oak.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 95 between Mile Markers 145 and 116.
NC Highway 264 between Mile Markers 23 and 44.
