At 421 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Harmony to near Fairview In Union County to
Monroe. Movement was northeast at 55 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Greensboro, Winston-Salem, High Point, Asheboro, Lexington,
Albemarle, Rockingham, Wadesboro, Randleman, and Troy.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 85 between Mile Markers 33 and 35, and between Mile
Markers 84 and 128.
Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 182 and 224.
Interstate 73 between Mile Markers 26 and 103.
Interstate 74 between Mile Markers 56 and 79.
