Description:
At 1002 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Webb City to near Duenweg to near Granby.
Movement was northeast at 45 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Northeastern Joplin, Carthage, Webb City, Carterville, Duquesne,
Sarcoxie, Duenweg, Diamond, Golden City, Carytown, Fidelity, Avilla,
La Russell, Brooklyn Heights, Reeds, Atlas, Dudenville, Oakland Park,
and Maple Grove.
This includes Interstate 44 between mile markers 10 and 29.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 500 AM CDT for
southwestern Missouri.
