Description:
At 931 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong
thunderstorms extending from 5 miles southwest of Vivian to 9 miles
northeast of New Salem, or extending from 22 miles south of Atlanta
to 11 miles south of Henderson, moving east at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Shreveport, Marshall, Carthage, Vivian, Greenwood, Blanchard,
Waskom, Benton, Oil City, Beckville, Mooringsport, Hosston,
Belcher, Gilliam, Elysian Fields, Karnack, Deberry and Smithland.
Instruction:
Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.
This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
